The Black Diamond ATC Guide is an absolute multi-pitch climber’s safety and descent device. You can secure it as with a standard tube-type security device, or you can use it in “guide mode,” which automatically locks the device from the top when backing up. You can also, if necessary, secure two climbers at the same time. It has a wide range of applications, it is suitable for use with 7.7-11 mm thick ropes.
